Hello everyone!
My name is Melani, and I’m excited to be here with you. I’ve been plant-based for 17 years and am also an Ironman athlete. My journey started back in 2007 when I experienced salmonella poisoning from an old-fashioned chicken Caesar salad. This wake-up call prompted me to reflect on food quality and embrace a more mindful lifestyle.
I became deeply interested in nutrient-dense foods and their impact on well-being. Intuitively, I knew that my health depended on nutritional abundance. This year, I became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), which has transformed both my life and my business.
Over the past two decades, I’ve explored various dietary paths, including raw foods, steamed dishes, greens, fruits, legumes, fermentation, sprouting, food combining, and even incorporating animal proteins. I’ve walked in many different shoes, and through it all, I’ve found that balance—of body, mind, and spirit—is key. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution to well-being; we are all unique, and that’s what makes life fascinating. Balance is essential for thriving in every aspect of existence.
I’ve discovered that my joy lies in the power of fresh, whole foods rooted in plant-based nutrition. I received my certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2000, followed by a Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from the Center for Nutritional Studies at e-Cornell in 2016. I also earned a LEED Green Associate certification in Green Building and Sustainability in 2014. With a BA in Psychology from George Washington University and experience as a fifteen-time marathoner, ultra-runner, triathlete, and Ironman athlete, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my work.
I’ve developed a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to helping others thrive in our demanding world. By living actively, supporting environmental sustainability, engaging in mindful practices, and consuming nutritionally dense foods, I lead by example. I’m here to support you on your journey toward a healthier version of yourself.
To maintain well-being, it’s vital to be mindful of what we take in and how we engage with the world. If you’re interested in exploring this further, I offer complimentary thirty-minute consultations. During our time together, you’ll have my empathetic ear and intuitive guidance to help you navigate your health journey. I’m here to meet you where you are and assist you in creating the life you want to lead!
Thank you!
